Whether you're a beginner or an experienced ceramicist looking to explore your creativity, this is the perfect course for you! At £160 for this whole 4-week course – all materials and kiln firing included – instructor and skilled ceramicist Alma Labas will guide you through the process of crafting your own ceramic project, be it a planter, vase, some crockery, or anything else you can think up! 

This is a hand-building course – a vital skill in ceramics. You'll learn techniques such as coiling, the most ancient method of forming vessels, and then a wide range of techniques, including how to combine larger slabs with coils to create bigger pieces, how you'd make pinched mugs, and press moulding techniques. Not only will you create different vessels during this course, but also your own sculpture. You'll get the chance to take a look at how other ceramic artists use the techniques that you'll be taught. 

Discover how to make a variety of different shapes and take home your own creation that you can proudly display. We'll also be doing an end of course exhibition for all groups to show off their work. Prepare to dive into your imagination and learn how to express yourself through clay! 

The group sizes will be small and so there is guaranteed to be enough individual guidance.

You'll then get to join one of the courses for a single date and time (we'll email you to confirm the date you'd like) to try the experience out. This will be a one off session for £45 – all materials and firing included. 

We have both AM and PM options for all Monday and Tuesday dates so please make sure you select the right time and day for the full course, and also if you'd prefer to just do a Taster.
